Kelp in the Waves

Winter waves bring all sorts of things ashore.  Today a large bundle of bull kelp washed up, twisted and mangled by rough surf and high, full moon tides.  After rocking and floating on the incoming waves, a hefty sneaker wave deposited the kelp heap (the bulk being approximately 7 feet long and 3 feet in diameter) some 30 feet closer to the bank.
