Witches and Spiders and Dorothy--Oh my!

Satuday, October 30, 2010

I went to two Halloween events tonight, both held by the villages at town hall-type places.  Both were geared for kids after trick or treating.  That doesn’t mean it wasn’t surreal.  Halloween has that quality---the masks, the jack o'lanterns, the way Dorothy is eyeing the mummy's meat cleaver in photo #4.

At NEAD in Rochester, we used to put on a haunted house in an old fire station.  Over 2000 people would go through on a weekend.  John Page was a genius.  My last task at the event was dropping a 6 foot spider down on groups going through.  Got ‘em every time…

Before that, when I was married, Rich and I went to a Halloween party where a friend of his and I discussed an idea that’s still in my head.  That little stunt is on my bucket list---some Halloween you’ll see the product of that prank.

In the meantime, here are some scenes from tonight.
